Largest native fern, often to 9 ft. Fronds twice cut, rather coarse in texture. Good near brook or pool.
Western Sword Fern
(Polystichum munitum)
Dark green fronds 2-4 ft. long. Once-cut fronds with medium coarse texture. Suitable under oaks (dry shade).
